Bohlin Cywinski Jackson is a world-renowned architecture firm responsible for some of the most famous and recognizable buildings in the world, including the New York City Apple Stores, Pixar’s headquarters, Grand Teton National Park Discovery and Visitors Center, and the Liberty Bell Center in Philadelphia.

MY ROLE

End-to-end Video Production and Music Score

My production company was hired to produce a short documentary about one of the first homes principal architect Peter Bohlin ever designed. Over the course of two days, we conducted interviews with Peter and the original homeowners, as well as filmed coverage of the entire home. Additionally, I wrote an original score to help tell the unique story of the home.

PROJECT CHALLENGES

The short video’s purpose was three-pronged: it needed to be a documentary about the home’s history, a video showcasing Peter's design and architecture, and a sales tool (the house was being put up for sale by the owners). Finding the balance between these three intertwined purposes while still focusing on telling a compelling story was a fun puzzle.
