LOW CUT CONNIE:
Livin in the USA
Low Cut Connie is an indie rock band fronted by singer/songwriter Adam Weiner. The band, known for their throwback rock and roll music and energetic live shows, released their album Livin in the USA in 2026 to critical acclaim. “Ten songs that go hard, with a vibe like a sweaty summer night where everybody is out on the block, thrumming with a combination of adrenaline, joy, and defiance.” - Paste Magazine
MY ROLE
Art Direction, Graphic Design, Photography
Adam reached out to me to help create the visual language of the release cycle. This meant creating the album cover, posters, merch, single covers, you name it. Using photography from world-renowned photographer Danny Clinch as the anchor, we developed instantly recognizable imagery throughout all collateral.
PROJECT CHALLENGES
While Livin in the USA is a protest record, the band wanted to make sure it also looked fun. Striking the balance between serious social commentary and good ol’ fashioned rock and roll proved to be a challenge that I enjoyed.
SIDE QUEST: Connie Classic
Our Town Brewery approached Adam about making a limited edition beer to celebrate the release of Livin in the USA. Together, we concocted a label and advertising campaign that leaned heavily on vintage 70s marketing.
